Christianity is inevitably the world's largest religion, focusing on the
teachings and prophecies of Jesus Christ. This religion is closely entwined with
Judaism, due to the similar belief structure and the date of it's origin.
There are several branches of Christianity, such as:
Catholic
Protestant
Nondenominational
Presbyterian
Methodist
Lutheran
Baptist
Anglicanism
These are only a few examples of the many branches of the Christian faith, but
also the most popular.
Christians follow the words of the Ten Commandments, instructing them as to what
they may not do in their lifetime to preserve the sanctity of their souls.
1. Thou shalt not have any other Gods before me.
2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing.
3. Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain Thou shalt not take
the name of the Lord thy God in vain
4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
5. Honor thy father and thy mother.
6. Thou salt not kill.
7. Thou shalt not commit adultery
8. Thou shalt not steal
9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
10.Thou shalt not covet.
These ten commandments are viewed as an order from their Lord God to which they
should live their lives. Christians also follow the guidelines of the Holy
Bible, which is the recorded document written by prophets who hear from God to
write his word.
The Sabbath day is held on Sunday traditionally, and is usually called Church.
Christians are expected to come into the house of God during the Sabbath day to
worship him and his holiness, to remove sin by the power of the priests, and to
pray for forgiveness.
