The importance of Willpower. Accomplishing your goals through harnessing your emotions and learning Mind Power.

 

We struggle with Willpower on a daily basis. From dieting, to smoking cessation, to performing spells and rituals that just aren't working, we all have the same issue. You may think you have the motivation to get things done, but if you did- Why is it that you haven't gotten anything accomplished?

The trick to gathering the proper motivation to accomplish your goals is through Meditation. Not just any form of Meditation, I'm going to teach you the basics of Mind Power.

Lay down and get comfortable. Relax as deeply and as comfortably as you are able. The aim of this is to reach the alpha state of mind, which is the meditative state. Your brain frequency slows, almost as if you were trying to sleep. Having a neat little program like Brainwave Generator can help you reach the alpha state of mind within ten minutes. Another handy little pointer I've learned is to roll your eyes up towards your third eye, whilst the eyelids are shut. Studies have shown that doing this activity for 45 seconds can improve the production of alpha waves in the brain.

Why do you need to be in alpha, why is it so important? Your subconscious mind is open to suggestions at this time, and can communicate freely with your conscious mind.

So once you are in this state, think of your goal. Think of how much you want it, but if you don't feel excited by this idea it won't work too well. Think of another time when you accomplished something fantastic, how great it felt. You must feel the waves of excitement coursing through your body. Keep this feeling in mind when you apply it to your goal. Now picture the completed goal in your mind. Visualize it completely in detail. Example: Visualize yourself being thin and healthy, if you are overweight.

Don't think about how you're going to get there, just picture yourself achieving what is it that you want. Roll your eyes up slightly as if you were watching a movie at a theater to keep the alpha waves flowing. But watch yourself as if you were watching a movie, accomplishing whatever it is that you desire. You must be creative and see everything in full detail. If you are not a very visual person, tell yourself what you are "seeing". Stay in this state for at least a few minutes daily.

Now let's talk about affirmations. Affirmations are positive sentences that you repeat to yourself on a daily basis. You will want to be in alpha state for these as well, since the aim of this goal is to tell your subconscious that you already have what you desire.

"I am rich"

"I am beautiful"

"I have a fabulous life"

"I am completely healthy"

Notice how these affirmations are in the present tense. When we discuss Mind Power, we are referring to the "Your Mentality Creates your Reality" theories. Does it really not make much sense that negative energy will attract more negative energy? It makes perfect sense to me! So what we can do are exercises like the ones written above to increase the positive energies in your life. If you believe it, if you expect it, you can have it. Coincidences will start coming to you after a good month of performing these techniques. These coincidences will help lead you towards your goals. Of course you can't expect to lose weight just by Mind Power, if you're sitting on the couch eating Cheetos and Ice Cream all day. The object of doing these techniques is to let your conscious and subconscious mind go hand in hand on achieving your desires. Your subconscious mind must know that it's possible, that you expect it, and that you already have it - Whilst your conscious mind must take steps towards your desires.

If you want to be rich, you must teach your subconscious that you have a million bucks. Then for example, your conscious mind gives you the idea to get into the advertising business. Therefore when you get these two parts of your brain working towards the same goal, chances are likely that you'll turn out to be very successful in advertising.
